Our PPL (day VFR) course offered is designed to be inclusive.

1. Aircraft rental - 45 hours.
2. Individual theory training with ground instructors - 20hours
3. One on one ground and flight training

5. Student set which includes a pilot's logbook, flight computer, aircraft flight manual, aeronautical charts, etc.)
6. Progress tests and support for distance learning.

9. Landing fees at the home airfield. Touch&Goes are free on any airports/airfields in Latvia, including Riga International. There are no fuel surcharges or hidden fees.

Frozen ATPL course

ATPL theory includes becoming a registered student at Oxford Aviation Academy, theoretical ATPL text books, 530 hours of distance learning, 120 hours over a period of 4 weeks of class room revision courses, including on-site lodging for revision courses).
Flight training includes:
Hour building to meet the 200h requirement of the issue of a commercial pilot's licence. Practical flight training for the commercial pilot's licence. Multi engine piston class rating, single engine & multi engine instrument ratings.
Aircraft used during the program are: Tecnam P92-JS, Beechcraft C23 Sundowner, Piper Seneca P32-200.

The MIGOT Flight School is a fully certified pilot training school based in Riga, Latvia. We invite you to join our flight training program. After completing thoretical and practical training you will be issued a European Joint Aviation Authority Private Pilot's Licence (JAA PPL). Licence allows the licence holder to pilot an aircraft registered in any JAA member state, these states include all EU member countries.

Should you be interested coming a professional pilot we provide flight training up to frozen ATPL, including JAA CPL and ME IR. We will provide for you all the necessary documents for a Schengen visa (needed for non-EU residents) as well as act as your representative with all governmental and private institutions of the Republic of Latvia during your time of training.

Training program for PPL (A)/ATPL(A).
Our training can be done through our correspondence program or by attending our individually designed courses in person at our school.  The program is based on the most modern methods of interactive learning. All of our instructors - are individuals with a broad range of experience in professional aviation such as: airline pilots, aviation company staff, and instructors at the highly accredited Riga Aviation Institute.

Training is based on the Oxford Aviation Academy Private Pilot Complete Training course for the JAA PPL, Flight Manual Tecnam P92 JS, Cessna 172 JAR-FCL part 1, JAR-OPS-1. The program is certified by the Latvian CAA and is based on the training of private pilots, according to the Joint Aviation Requirements – Flight Crew Licensing  JAR-FCL part 1 (Airplane)

Practical training on the program of PPL (A) / ATPL(A)
The practical training program is provided in accordance with European requirements. Total number of required training flight hours are 45 for PPL and 200 for ATPL. Training courses include flight takeoff and landing training, instrument flight, cross-country and night flights.ATPL includes IR, Night qualification, MEP ratings. Training also includes simulated emergency situations and a variety of differing flight condition contingencies.

Pre-requirements for applicants
Minimum age for application to PPL(A) is 15 years, but by the end of the course you have to be at least 17 to become the holder of PPL(A). To enroll to ATPL programme you should be the holder of PPL(A).
Prior to first Solo Flight the student must pass the "Class Two Medical". This medical check is carried out by JAA-approved medical centre to ensure that he is medically fit to fly.
